The Podkarpackie Science and Technology Park

It was established by virtue of the agreement, signed on 19th of May 2003 by: the Podkarpackie autonomous government, Rzeszów District authorities, Rzeszów City Council, the Rzeszów Technical University and the Rzeszów University. Its main goal will be stimulating multifunctional development of the province, based on innovative ideas and transfer of technology, with maximum utilization of the Podkarpackie’s research and development, economy and infrastructure potential.

The Podkarpackie Science and Technology Park main goals will be: 

• increasing the academic, R&D and economic potential in the region;
• increasing the number of university graduates starting their own individual business;
• increasing the will to undertake risk associated with private business by the workers from the 
  restructured sectors, especially agriculture;
• effective managing of the available facilities and land, and creating an offer of help services; 
  especially for the businessmen operating in the “The Podkarpackie Science and Technology Park”;
• increasing the competitiveness of the local companies;
• increasing innovation, including transfer of the latest technologies to business entities.

The corporeal basis of the Podkarpackie Science and Technology Park is the allocated property complex within the Rzeszów City, in the following communes: Trzebownisko, Głogów Małopolski and Świlcza.
