In Jasionka, close to Rzeszów, there is an international airport (http://www.lotnisko-rzeszow.pl), able to provide a 24 hour a day servicing of flight operations, including passenger aircraft handling and cargo services, airship refueling, luggage loading and unloading, and cargo shipping (including technical parcels). In the airport, there are boarder guards, customs officials and police. The airport is open from Monday to Sunday, from 6 am to 10 pm, on holidays from 11 am to 10 pm, and on other days upon 24–hour advance request.
To enhance the development and the importance of the Jasionka Airport (it was one of many goals), on 11th of April 2003, the Stowarzyszenie Grupy Przedsiębiorców Przemysłu Lotniczego DOLINA LOTNICZA – AVIATION VALLEY (the AVIATION VALLEY Aeronautic Industry Group of Businessmen Association) (www.dolinalotnicza.pl) was established in Rzeszów. Its goal is to create one of the most important European aviation regions, based on the long aeronautic industry in southeastern Poland, thus improving the quality of life of the Podkarpackie province citizens.

Local airports are located in: Mielec (local factory airport used to provide services for agricultural sector, with plans to use it as a domestic passenger and cargo airport, because it is located close to the special economical zones – the Euro–Park Mielec and the WISŁOSAN Tarnobrzeg), Turbia by Stalowa Wola (the airport is used for sport and training flights, but due to an excellent geographic localization and the need to develop the region, it might be adopted for passenger and cargo services) and Krosno (http://www.aeroklub-podkarpacki.pl/lotnisko.php). The airport in Krajna by Arłamowo, with a 1250 m long and 100 m wide asphalt runway is waiting to be utilized again. Planes cannot land here, to due lack of homologation. During the communist rule in Poland, government planes landed in Krajna, carrying government officials heading to the holiday resort in Arłamów. Today, the airport belongs to the Regional Management of National Forests in Krosno.
