Information has been make available: 01.10.2007 09:41

The Podkarpackie Province encompasses three physiographical regions. At the north there is the Kotlina Sandomierska (the Sandomierz Basin), located in a great tectonic sinkhole, the Carpathian Fore deep. In northeastern part of the Podkarpackie, there is a fragment of the Roztocze Południowe (the South Roztocze) District, also called the Roztocze Wschodnie (the East Roztocze) or the Roztocze Rawskie. In the middle section of the province there is the Pogórze Karpackie (the Carpathian Foothills) – the lowest part of the Polish Carpathians. In the south of the Podkarpackie, there are the Beskid Niski (the Low Beskid) mountains, in close proximity of the Beskid Zachodni (the West Beskid) and the Bieszczady, all part of the Beskid Wschodni (the East Beskid).
