Welcome to the Podkarpackie Province

Information has been make available: 01.10.2007 09:38

The Podkarpackie Province is worth paying special attention to, because although it is the southeastern most region of Poland, it has a very rich offer for anyone who may wish to come here. Natural and cultural qualities make it immensely attractive for tourists. The Podkarpackie already has an excellent tourist infrastructure, ready to meet even the highest expectations, but we assure you, it is only the beginning of future things to come, which will surprise all our guests surely and positively!

As far as recreation and investing goes, and more and more popular “choosing one’s new place on Earth”, the top offer must be the Bieszczady Mountains, which need not any advertising, because they are famous in Poland and abroad. However, everyday, the popularity of the Beskid Niski (Low Beskid) grows, where good old Łemko (Lemko) tradition has returned, strengthened by elements originating from American Wild West. Centuries–old frontier of culture has left many valuable remains, like the material culture relics, both laic and sacral, also the immaterial culture relics, apparent in preserved traditions and customs of the ethnic groups, which lived here before and do live here now. What is more, the Podkarpackie nature will amaze many lovers of the natural world, and its diversity might be the cause of vertigo!
According to the requirements of the modern world, for the Podkarpackie, the top priority is novelty – development of the completely available infrastructure and creating new opportunities, both for the locals, and potential domestic and foreign investors. It is doubtless that our province has multiqualified staff, ready to undertake challenges in all areas of social and economical life. Huge potential of young people, studying and gaining experience in the Podkarpackie universities is the great chance for the region to further develop and fight the growing competition. One might say that after Poland joined the European Union, our province took the responsibility of maintaining contact with our partners from Ukraine and helping our eastern neighbor in joining the EU structure.
We are involved, because we are determined to develop our province and improve the quality of local life. We are pro–social, and we express our love of fighting the problems of everyday life in many non–governmental organizations. We are open for any good idea, which might help our little Homeland and us. We are simply gnarly!
